Thaw continues: Assad meets Saudi FM in Damascus
Syrian President Bashar Assad met Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal in Damascus. The foreign minister brought a message from Saudi monarch Abdullah ibn Abd al-Aziz al-Sa'ud regarding relations between the two countries.
The meeting marks the continuation of a thaw between the countries, following President Assad's visit to Saudi Arabia a few months ago after an extended period of cool relations. According to reports, the two talked about the unstable conditions in the Arab world and the challenges in the Palestinian and Yemen arenas. (Roee Nahmias)
