Obama on Mutallab case: Unacceptable intelligence failure
US President Barak Obama said Tuesday that the intelligence failure which led to Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab's attempted attack was connected to analysis and not to information gathering.
The bottom line is that the US had enough intelligence to discover him, but the failure enabled him to board the airliner, Obama said, and added that he recognized that the intelligence agencies are not perfect but the failure was nonetheless unacceptable. (Ynet)
