Knesset votes in favor of bill to restrict import of animal-tested products
The Knesset plenum passed in a preliminary vote a bill that will ban the import of cosmetic and cleaning products that are not for health purposes, which were tested on animals.
The bill was initiated by Knesset members Eitan Cabel, Dov Khenin and Nitzan Horowitz. It was approved by a majority of 43 MKs, while nine voted against it. (Amnon Meranda)
