Barak on Pines-Paz' decision: Labor stronger than its component

Labor Chairman Ehud Barak, speaking at a faction meeting, expressed his regrets over MK Ophir Pines-Paz' decision to leave politics, but added that "the party is stronger than its components. None of us is irreplaceable, including yours truly."
Barak added that he appreciates Pines-Paz' contribution to the party and "I, and many of us here would have preferred to see him stay… Nevertheless, the rumors of the party's death were premature. It has a future a head of it," he concluded. (Attila Somfalvi)
