Israel files UN complaint over explosives found in Lebanon

Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Prof. Gabriela Shalev sent a letter of complaint to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon over an incident which took place in southern Lebanon late last month, when a UNIFIL force uncovered some 300 kilograms (661 pounds) of explosives near the border with Israel.

Shalev noted that Israel believes the explosives were of an advanced kind and belong to Hezbollah. She said they may have even been manufactured in Syria or Iran (Yitzhak Benhorin, Washington)
