Disgraced wife of N. Ireland leader to step down

British media are reporting that the wife of Northern Ireland's leader will step down as a lawmaker following revelations of her affair with a teenager.

The BBC and Britain's Press Association cite unidentified sources within the socially conservative Democratic Unionist Party as saying Iris Robinson will relinquish her dual positions as parliamentarian in London and representative to Northern Ireland's regional assembly within days. (AP)
