Report: Hezbollah uses European drug trafficking money as funding
German weekly Der Spiegel reported that Hezbollah is funding its activity in Lebanon as well as anti-Israel operations using European drug transactions.
According to the report, the German customs authorities and federal police arrested two Lebanese men last October whose relatives were suspected of smuggling millions of dollars from cocaine trade in Europe to Beirut via the Frankfurt airport. (Sara Stricker)
