Minister Yishai on Falashmura aliyah: Convince Treasury
Interior Minister Eli Yishai has blamed the Treasury for the delay in approving the aliyah of thousands of Falashmura denomination members from Ethiopia.
During a demonstration staged by hundreds of Ethiopian-Israelis outside the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, Yishai said, "I am determined to lead the struggle and conclude the deliberations by the relevant government offices. We'll have to convince the Treasury, which has opposed the (Falashmura aliyah) in the past." (Yael Branovsky)
