2 people die of swine flu

A 66-year-old man, who was vaccinated against swine flu and suffered from pre-existing conditions died at the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva Sunday. The Health Ministry stated that the man had received the vaccine eight days prior to his hospitalization but noted that it is only effective three weeks after having been administered.

 

Also Sunday, a 35-year-old woman who was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus and suffered from serious illnesses died at the Soroka University Medical Center in Beersheba. The swine flu death toll in Israel now stands at 85. (Meital Yasur-Beit Or)
