Begin: Peace accord with Palestinians currently impossible
Minister Benny Begin (Likud) said that a peace agreement with the Palestinians wasn't currently possible since "Abu Mazen (Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas) doesn't control Gaza."
During a lecture before students of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Begin said, "The Gaza Strip is run by Iran and Syria – Hamas sits in Damascus and Iran is funding it." (Ronen Medzini)
