Gershon Hacohen appointed northern corps commander

IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi appointed Major-General Gershon Hacohen, head of the National Security College as commander of the northern corps.

He will be replacing Udi Shani, who retired from the Israel Defense Forces and was appointed director-general of the Defense Ministry. Hacohen will keep maintaining his current position. (Efrat Weiss)
