Elkin calls Likud MKs absent from vote 'criminals'
A fracas was caused in the Likud faction meeting after Likud Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu rebuked faction members for not regularly showing up for Knesset votes. Coalition Chairman MK Zeev Elkin called them "criminals."
Regional Development Minister Silvan Shalom was angered by this statement, and said, "How can you call us criminals? We are doing other things during these hours. We are meeting with people." (Attila Somfalvi)
