Deputy FM meets with Turkish envoy over anti-Semitic series
Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon summoned the Turkish ambassador to Israel for a meeting in which he demanded that the Turkish media cease all expressions of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiments.
"This is an intolerable state which endangers the Jewish community, the Israeli envoys and tourists coming in to Turkey," Ayalon said following the broadcast of an additional episode in a Turkish TV series which includes anti-Israel remarks. The Turkish ambassador condemned the series and said he would convey the message to Ankara. (Roni Sofer)
