A bomb blast has killed a university professor in Tehran, Iranian state television reported on Tuesday. The incident occurred at a time of heightened tension in the Islamic Republic, seven months after a disputed presidential election plunged the country into turmoil.
"University professor killed in Tehran remote control bomb blast," English-language Press TV said in a breaking news headline. It named the professor as Massoud Mohammadi and said he was killed near his home in the Iranian capital by a booby-trapped motorbike. (Reuters)
