Health Ministry: Israel lacking 1,500 hospital beds
Israel's hospitals are in need of some 1,500 beds, according to a statement made by Health Ministry representatives on Tuesday during a discussion held in the Knesset Labor, Welfare, and Health Committee.
The representatives said that adding the necessary beds will cost NIS 500 million (about $134.7 million) and that the Finance Ministry is holding up implementation of the move. (Meital Yassur-Beit Or)
