Bomb kills Iran nuclear physicist tied to Mousavi
Iran's government blamed the assassination of a nuclear physics professor who publicly backed opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi on an armed Iranian opposition group that it said operated under the direction of Israel and the US.
In Washington, State Department spokesman Mark Toner denied the charge. "Any charges of US involvement are absurd," he said. Israel's Foreign Ministry had no comment. (AP)
