IDF Medical Corps preparing to send aid to Haiti

Brigadier-General Nachman Ash, the IDF's chief medical officer said that the Medical Corps is preparing to send medical aid to the earthquake victims in Haiti.

"We have not yet been contacted by the Foreign Ministry, but we are holding internal preparations in order to depart as soon as possible," Ash said and estimated that the corps will be in a position to send medical teams and equipment within 24 hours after receiving an instruction from the Foreign Ministry.
