Haiti quake: PM orders urgent support efforts

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the Defense, Foreign Affairs and the Public Security ministries to urgently administer humanitarian aid to Haiti.

The Prime Minister's Office stated that Netanyahu has instructed the Israeli ambassador to the Dominican Republic to venture out to Haiti by car in order to report of the situation there. In addition, the Israeli Embassy in Washington has been instructed to keep in touch with US aid elements in order to coordinate the support efforts. (Roni Sofer)
