London newspaper: IDF training along Lebanese border

The London-based newspaper Asharq Alawsat reported that the IDF began training exercises Thursday along the Lebanese border, in preparation for military maneuvers due next month. The newspaper noted that Israel had informed Lebanon of the exercises via UNIFIL.
The newspaper also reported that US President Barak Obama had told his Lebanese counterpart Michel Suleiman that if Hezbollah obtain surface-to-air missiles, it may lead Israel to military activity that the US will find hard to prevent. (Roee Nahmias)
