UN: Total of $270 million pledged to aid Haiti

The UN has announced that governments and other organizations around the world have pledged a total of around $268.5 million to aid Haiti.
UN Spokeswoman for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Elizabeth Byers said that the commitments were made before the UN set up a special fund for this purpose. (AFP)
