An Iranian court held its last session on Saturday in the trial of a French teaching assistant who was arrested in Tehran on spying charges after the Islamic state's disputed election in June, her lawyer said.
"We are hopeful that the court would issue, in coming days, a verdict based on exonerating my client," lawyer Mohammad Ali Mahdavi-Sabet was quoted as saying by ISNA news agency. Reiss, who has been out of jail on bail and staying at the French embassy, was accused of taking part in a Western plot to destabilise the Iranian government. (Reuters)
