MK Horowitz to committee: Don't back amendment to Chametz Law

Knesset Member Nitzan Horowitz (New Movement – Meretz) has called on the Ministerial Committee for Legislative Affairs to "come to its senses" and not support the proposed amendment to the Chametz Law during a vote scheduled for Sunday.
The Chametz Law bans the public display of leavened products forbidden to observant Jews during Passover in all businesses in Jewish communities in Israel during the holiday. The proposed amendment calls to omit the word "public" from the existing law. (Amnon Meranda)
