Druze leader in Lebanon: Reconciliation with Syria close

Lebanese Druze leader Walid Jumblatt says Lebanon's Druze residents are close to a reconciliation with Syria. "I think that three-quarters of the road to Damascus are open," he told AFP. "There remains the final act that depends on timing."
Last week it was reported that senior Syrian officials invited Jumblatt to visit Damascus after formally reconciling with Hezbollah. (AFP)
