Ukraine's Yanukovich leads by 4%, first results show

Ukraine's opposition leader, Viktor Yanukovich, gained 33.99 percent in the presidential election Sunday, and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko 29.5 percent, the Central Election Commission said.

These initial results - after 0.48 percent of the vote or about 20,000 ballots had been counted - reflect exit polls which showed Tymoshenko between 4-11 percent behind Yanukovich. (Reuters)
