Deputy foreign minister says no decision on Ghajar yet

Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon toured a Nahariya hospital and spoke of the conflict over the northern part of Ghajar village, which lies on both sides of the Israeli-Lebanese border. According to UN Resolution 1701, the village will be transferred to Lebanese rule and that of UNIFIL.
"We have not yet made a decision on the matter and we are still waiting for recommendations by professionals at the Foreign Ministry," Ayalon said. "I know that no matter what decision the government makes, we will take into consideration the wellbeing and safety of the village residents." (Hagai Einav)
