Mitchell to Peres: I' m aware of obstacles on road to peace

Israel's President Shimon Peres met with US Special Envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell, who said he is aware of the obstacles on the road to peace between Israel and the Palestinians, and that the Obama administration intends to work to solve the difficulties.
Peres noted that Mitchell's visit was vital. "Despite recent declarations, we must continue forward and return to negotiations because there is no other option," Israel's president said. (Roni Sofer)
