Northern Ireland's police say they have launched a criminal investigation regarding allegations that the wife of the province's leader helped fund the business of a young man she was having an affair with.
The 60-year-old Robinson, who has resigned as a lawmaker, has admitted to the affair with the 19 year old. The British Broadcasting Corp. reported that she allegedly solicited 50,000 pounds ($80,000) from businessmen two years ago so her lover could open a restaurant. (AP)
