Romania to send 600 more troops to Afghanistan

The Romanian president's Web site says the country will send 600 more troops to Afghanistan this year, bringing its number of soldiers there to more than 1,600.
Romania, a NATO member, first sent troops to Afghanistan in 2002. It now has 1,020 soldiers there. (AP)
