Germany was positive but non-committal about US President Barack Obama's proposals on new banking regulation insisting the issue must nevertheless be addressed at the international level.
"The US President's new proposals are a helpful suggestion for further discussion at an international level," government spokesman Michael Offer said in a statement Friday. (AP)
