Barak-Mitchell meeting ends

The meeting of Defense Minister Ehud Barak and US special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell has ended. The two discussed ways of resuming negotiations with the Palestinians for nearly two hours.

Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Palestinians still insist on their demands of a full settlement construction freeze. Mitchell is expected to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Sunday in Jerusalem. (Roni Sofer)
