Assad, Gadafi: Gaza siege obligates overcoming Arab disputes

Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Lybian leader Muammar Gaddafi in Tripoli, where he discussed with him the situation in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

The two men emphasized, "The oppressive blockade imposed on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli occupation powers necessitates every Arab state to overcome differences and to stand together in way that will amplify joint Arab action."
