Rabbi Rafi Peretz assumed to be next in line for IDF chief rabbi

Rabbi Rafi Peretz, who heads the Atzmona yeshiva, is assumed by many official sources to be next in line for the position of IDF chief rabbi. Peretz is a reserve helicopter pilot and carries a rank of lieutenant-colonel.
The sources told Ynet that the IDF's chief of staff has already chosen Peretz to replace Rabbi Avi Ronsky, whose term ends this summer. However Peretz still has to be approved by the defense minister. (Kobi Nahshoni)
