Knesset approves bill pardoning disengagement opposers

None

The Knesset plenum approved in a second and third reading a bill that pardons those who objected to the disengagement plan.

According to the new law proposal, if a person was convicted for offences based on his objection to the disengagement plan, his verdict will not be carried out. If the verdict has already been implemented, it can be terminated based on the convicted person 's request. However, the new law will not apply to those who have received prison sentences.
