PM on plane to Poland: Today we can defend ourselves, we have state
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "The tragedy of the Jewish people is that it did not have the capability of identifying a threat in time and defending itself."
In a plane en route to the Auschwitz death camp in Poland, he added, "The situation has changed entirely in the last 65 years. We are a nation capable of defending itself and of alerting the rest of the world of danger. We have the status of a country." (Roni Sofer)
