Rabbi Shapira released from detainment
Jerusalem Magistrates' Court released Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira, head of the Od Yosef Chai Yeshiva near Yitzhar who was arrested on suspicions of being involved in the mosque arson in nearby Palestinian village Yasuf.
The judge delayed his release until 10:30 pm in order to allow the police time to appeal his release. In her decision, the judge criticized the police, claiming that there was not any ground remotely for extending his remand. (Efrat Weiss)
