Steinitz meets with Finance Committee head over biannual budget
Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz met with the chairman of the Knesset's Finance Committee, MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism), in an attempt to come to an agreement over the biannual budget.
However the conflict could not be resolved. Gafni and Steinitz disagree on a cut in the budgets of the local municipalities, as well as Gafni's claim that the government was assisting the rich while neglecting to create jobs for Israeli citizens. (Zvi Lavi)
