Haiti mission head: IDF achievement impressive by any standard
The head of the Israeli aid mission to Haiti Brigadier-General Shalom Ben Areyh said that the delegation's work was "an impressive achievement by the IDF, by any standard."
Speaking at the delegation's welcoming ceremony at the Ben Gurion airport Ben Aryeh said, "This delegation was nothing like anything I ever knew" and added, "The presidential palace, government offices, the UN building – all was destroyed. There was no guiding hand and in its absence you're like the blind in the dark." (Ynet)
