IDF chief: Haiti mission – source of pride for all Israelis, Jews
IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Gabi Ashkenazi said Thursday that the Israeli aid mission to Haiti was a "source of pride for any Israeli and Jew."
Speaking at the delegation's reception ceremony at the Ben Gurion airport, Ashkenazi said, "Your ability to save lives crossed new boundaries," and added, "Recently there have been those who have tried to tarnish our soldiers. In your work you proved the opposite." (Ynet)
