Mazuz: AG not supposed to secure public consensus
Outgoing Attorney General Menachem Mazuz said that the "attorney general is constantly under fire. It was never possible, nor did I expect, that every one of my decisions to be embraced by the entire public. The attorney general's challenge does not lie in securing public consent over his decisions."
During the ceremony in which he passed the torch to Yehuda Weinstein, Mazuz stressed the importance of maintaining the post's independence. (Ynet)
