Researcher claims Israel destroyed thousands of Palestinian books
A researcher from Ben-Gurion University claimed in his doctoral thesis that after the establishment of the State of Israel, tens of thousands of Arab books were stolen and destroyed in order to help with the process of making the state more "Jewish".
In a special interview with Al-Jazeera, the researcher said that the few thousand books that were left are stored in the archives of the national library and are closed of to visitors. (Ynet)
