During a meeting between President Shimon Peres and Jordan's King Abdullah in the World Economic Forum in Davos, the king expressed his concern regarding lack of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians, noting that the situation is liable to affect the entire region.
Perez replied that Israel is committed to peace and that most of the nation support a two-state solution. "In the framework of negotiations, the two sides could clarify the issues that require a speedy solution," Peres said. This is the first high-level meeting between the two states for a long time.
