Israel denies hitting sewage plant in Gaza war

Israel denied hitting a sewage treatment plant during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, after having been accused of doing so by the Goldstone committee.
Israel admitted to having shelled the roof of a flour mill, but claimed in its response to the Goldstone report that Hamas had been using it as shelter. Regarding the home of the al-Ashkar family, Israel claims it was being used to store weapons, rendering it a military target, and that the family had been notified of the strike ahead of time.
