Minister Braverman wants external committee to probe Goldstone findings
Minister for Minority Affairs Avishay Braverman called for an external committee to probe the findings listed in the Goldstone report, which accuses Israel and Hamas of committing war crimes during Operation Cast Lead in Gaza.
"We must be wise and not just right," Braverman said ahead of the weekly cabinet meeting. "Israel cannot make do with the response sent to the UN. In order to ward off international criticism and prove the report is biased and distorted we must establish an external committee. I am entirely certain the IDF behaved morally." (Roni Sofer)
