Egypt detains Palestinian official at Rafah crossing

The Egyptian authorities last week arrested a Palestinian security official in the southern Gaza Strip after he returned from seeking medical assistance for his father abroad.
Ibrahim Abu-Maaruf, who holds an officer's rank, was arrested at the Rafah crossing. The reason for his arrest remains unknown. (Roee Nahmias)
