Residents of Jezreel valley say no to airport offer
Residents of the Jezreel Valley Regional Council announced that they opposed a government offer to establish an international airport in Meggido, with 29 council members voting against the proposal and three abstaining.
Last week the deputy director-general of the Transportation Ministry, Charlie Solomon, promised that the airport would not be established there if the residents were opposed. (Sharon Roffe-Ofir)
