Ben-Eliezer: Joining OECD requires social responsibility
Industry, Trade and Labor Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer told the Herzliya Conference that "Israel is joining the OECD of right and not on sufferance. Our economic performance over the past few years and the way we emerged from the global economic crisis put us in a respectable place on the list of developed economies.
"Israel's positioning in the first line with the developed countries will bring along a demand for responsibility not only in the economic field, but also social, environmental and political responsibility – within our borders and facing our neighbors," he said. (Ynet)
