The president of the courts in Iran said that he will not capitulate to political pressure to execute additional opposition supports who were arrested during protests of the recent presidential elections.
According to Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani, "These calls are against the law." However, he did not rule out executing more people who "tried to damage national security," and noted that "the judicial system did not compromise and will treat them harshly." (Dudi Cohen)
