Foreign Ministry sources: Turkish ambassador to leave Israel
Turkish Ambassador to Israel Ahmet Oguz Celikkol is apparently set to leave the country shortly for personal reasons.
Sources at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Celikkol may assume a post in one of the European countries but have yet to receive an official announcement on his departure. The ambassador arrived in Israel several months ago and was involved in an incident which caused a diplomatic crisis with Turkey after Deputy Foreign Minister Daniel Ayalon treated him in a way which was perceived humiliating.
