FM to Berlusconi: Use Russian contacts to impose sanctions on Iran
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman called on Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi to use his contacts with Russia in order to impose economic sanctions on Iran.
During a meeting in Jerusalem, Lieberman asked the Italian premier to prevent the sale of weapons to Iran from Russia. He further called on Italy to take a leading role in international legislation which would provide democratic countries with tools to fight terrorism. (Roni Sofer)
