Barak: Israel has a silent majority in favor of peace

Defense Minister Ehud Barak told the Herzliya Conference that "Israel has a silent majority in favor of peace, although it leans to the right in the voting station." He added that the Israeli leadership must make tough decisions.

"I once told (Palestinian leaders) Arafat and Abbas that the toughest decisions must be made while facing your people, and (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu will also have to make tough decisions with our public." (Roni Sofer)
